Join us as we work scientifically as we investigate the world of coral, searching for evidence to argue whether coral is living or nonliving. Students will use observations and research to explore how scientists use these tools to analyze and reason their way through new ideas and understandings surrounding the natural world.

Students will explore the often hard-to-find critters who are experts at camouflage and discuss the benefits of blending in. At the end of the lesson, students will start on a camouflage-creation challenge to compete against each other to be crowned the Captain of Camouflage!

Participants will learn mindfulness, soft belly breathing and self-care. Yoga will strengthen the muscles, improve balance, flexibility and focus. By practicing mindfulness a few minutes per day, students and teachers will become proficient in concentration, creativity and self-awareness. Students should expect fun and challenging movements and stillness that requires focus and concentration.
Student will need room to move while standing and seated on the floor. Mats are not required.

With the help of the book In My Heart: A Book of Feelings, students will think about how our emotions can impact the people around us. Students will create their own individual paper heart art that allows them to show their own feelings while thinking about how they want others to feel.
