Your Community Anew - planning to improve your community with help from the book Maybe Something Beautiful: How art transformed a neighborhood by F. Isabel Campoy and Theresa Howell. Students will think and share ideas they have for how to improve on their local community - be it their classroom, school, neighborhood or town. Drawing inspiration from books like Maybe Something Beautiful and other sources, students will then be given time to draw and share their own inspired ideas that can later be used to create a classroom mural to encourage others to work for positive changes around them.
